Gregory 29, Kimball/White Lake 18

GREGORY — The Gregory Gorillas held off a pesky Kimball/White Lake squad to earn a win on Friday night in Gregory.

Kimball/White Lake quarterback Park Sinclair completed 10-of-20 passes for 112 yards and three touchdown passes. Blake Leiferman had 62 yards receiving and a touchdown while Lucas Lenz had 34-yards receiving and a touchdown

Lenz with 34 yards and a TD and Lantz Bass with 20 yards and a TD. Leading the team in rushing was Iden Myers with 94 yards followed by Leiferman with 23. And on the defensive side of the football Iden Myers and Leiferman had 16 and 12 tackles respectively.


Hanson 38, Canistota 28

CANISTOTA — Hanson’s bruising running attack proved steady and effective as the Beavers earned a win over Class 9A No. 1 Canistota. 

Brock Tuttle carried the football 17 times for 131 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Jayce Slaba completed 7-of-8 passes for 72 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Cole Dewald had 51 yards on the ground while Weston Kayser finished with 21 yards. 

Canistota’s Tage Ortman completed 16-of-32 passes for 193 yards with two touchdown passes and two interceptions. Ortman also rushed for 81-yards and two touchdowns. Levi Schroeder added 49 yards rushing while Brady Scott had four receptions for 36 yards and two touchdowns.

Wall 38, Lyman 0

PRESHO — Class 9AA No. 4 Wall blanked Lyman in a Friday high school football game. 

Burk Blasius completed 7 of 13 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown, while rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Levi Sharp and Jace Blasius hauled in touchdown receptions. Jace Blasius added a rushing touchdown. Burk Blasius had six tackles on defense, while Will Volmer and Dawson Handcock had interceptions on defense.


Dakota Valley 12, Madison 7

MADISON — Dakota Valley earned a win over Madison in what was a tight, defensive battle to pick up a win  in high school football action Friday. 

Jackson Boonstra carried the football 26 times for 141 yards and a touchdown. Trae Piel and Beau Jones combined for 35 yards rushing. Drew Lukken completed 22 passes for 104 yards. Piel caught seven passes for 48 yards. 

Madison’s Ben Brooks ran for 140 yards and passed for 138 yards and a touchdown pass to Cohen Hahn. Shane Veenhof was Madison’s leading receiver catching five passes for 39 yards. 

 

Spearfish 40, Belle Fourche 7

SPEARFISH — Class 11AA No. 5 Spearfish picked up a Friday high school football win over Belle Fourche.

Seth Hamilton had a hand in all six touchdowns for the Spartans. The quarterback threw passing touchdowns to Dylon Doren, Caden Langenfield and Hunter Walters, while rushing for three rushing scores.

Hitchcock-Tulare 52, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — A balanced offensive attack helped Hitchcock-Tulare to a road win over Sunshine Bible Academy in high school football action Friday. 

Erik Salmen rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns while Payton Chasing Hawk had 69-yards rushing and a touchdown on one carry. Brendan Nowell and Blaze Binger combined for 33 yards with each contributing a touchdown. Nowell completed each of the nine passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. 

For Sunshine Bible Academy Troy Paul led with 61-yards rushing while Trevor Laschkewitsch led in tackles with six on the night. 

 

Lennox 42, Beresford 14

BERESFORD — Lennox’s Boston Katzer tossed four touchdown passes in a Friday high school football win over Beresford.

Katzer completed 19 of 32 passes for 286 yards, while rushing for 56 yards and another score. Drake Mikkelsen hauled in five catches for 97 yards and two touchdown passes. Porter Ihnen hauled in 92 receiving yards and Chase Faulds caught a touchdown catch. Tate Gerdes had nine tackles and an interception.

 

Dell Rapids 63, Milbank 8

MILBANK — Mason Stubbe scored three touchdowns on four carries as Class 11A No. 1 Dell Rapids picked up a Friday night school football win.

Stubbe finished with 168 rushing yards as the Quarriers racked up 452 rushing yards. Cole Ruesink, Jeremiah McDougall, Sutton Williams and Isaac Tudor added rushing touchdowns. Jack Henry threw a passing touchdown to Treyse Eastman. Cooper Frost and Stubbe had interceptions on defense. Aiden Geraets had 12 tackles. 

Milbank’s Garrett Mertens threw for 127 yards and threw a passing touchdown.


Sioux Valley 34, McCook Central/Montrose 12

SALEM — Two Sioux Valley running backs rushed for over 100 yards as the Cossacks rolled to a win over McCook Central/Montrose on Friday night. 

Sioux Valley’s Donovan Rose rushed for 179 yards while Boden Schiller picked up 121 yards. Schiller completed two passes for 43 yards. Interceptions from Hunter Steinhaus and Braden Danzeisen fueled the Cossacks win. 

Carter Randall led McCook Central/Montrose in rushing with 44 yards. Lane Deutsch completed 14 passes for 138 yards with Ty Morrison catching three of those passes for 103 yards. 


Yankton 37, Tea Area 26

TEA — In one of the most anticipated games of the night Class 11AA No. 2 Yankton got a win over No. 3 Tea Area in high school football action Friday.

Evan Serck led the Bucks rushing attack with 84-yards and two touchdowns. Lucas Kampshoff rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown while passing for 181 yards and a touchdown. Tucker Gilmore caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown

Tea Area’s Cole McKinney had 54 yards on the ground with a touchdown. Keegan DeYoung had an additional 47 yards rushing for Tea Area. Quarterback Brenner Konrad had 134 yards passing with a touchdown pass and an interception. Tyler Rhead caught one pass for 56 yards and a touchdown.
