Redfield 37, Parker 12

REDFIELD — Redfield topped Parker in Friday high school football action. 


Warner 8, Hamlin 6

WARNER — Class 9A No. 2 Warner edged Class 9AA No. 3 Hamlin in Friday high school football action. Hunter Cramer’s second-quarter rushing touchdown and the successful two-point try was Warner’s lone score. 

Hamlin’s Tyson Stevenson rushed for a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the two-point conversion was unsuccessful. 

Warner’s Charlie Dulany rushed for 20 yards and hauled in 15 receiving yards. Cramer added 15.5 tackles and an interception on defense. 

Hamlin’s Luke Fraser erupted for 206 rushing yards on 28 carries, while he had 47 receiving yards. Stevenson threw for 78 yards. Kasen Prouty posted 8.5 tackles on defense, while Zac VanMeeteren had an interception. 


Hanson 51, Garretson 0

GARRETSON — Class 9AA No. 4 Hanson blanked Garretson and gave coach Jim Haskamp his 200th career coaching win. The Beavers finished with 327 rushing yards on 29 carries. 

Hanson’s Weston Kayser finished with 89 rushing yards and one rushing score. Hadley Wallace added 82 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Cole Dewald, Jackson Jarding and Brock Tuttle added rushing touchdowns. Wallace had seven tackles on defense, while Kenan Waldera had an interception.

Garretson’s Hunter Abraham rushed for 46 yards on 16 carries, while Blaine Trower threw for 13 yards. Ian Buettner had 13 receiving yards. Caleb Westerbur and Jayden Davis had three tackles apiece. Brock Bonte had an interception. 


Avon 36, Alcester-Hudson 22

AVON — Avon upset Class 9A No. 4 Alcester-Hudson in Friday high school football action. The Pirates racked up 454 total yards, including 434 yards on the ground. 

Paxton Bierema finished with 177 rushing yards on 15 carries and scored three touchdowns. Brady Bierema added 80 rushing yards and one rushing score. Paxton Bierema added a passing touchdown to Terran Talsma. Brady Bierema recorded six tackles and an interception on defense. 

Alcester-Hudson’s Mateo Kleinhans completed 12 of 23 passes for 149 yards and threw a passing touchdown. He also rushed for 72 yards on eight carries and scored two rushing scores. Evan Brown had 44 receiving yards, while Jose Topete-Lopez rushed for 46 yards. Dominic Van Egdom had nine tackles, while Aden Moller had an interception. 

Wall 55, Harding County/Bison 0

WALL — Class 9AA No. 2 Wall blanked Harding County/Bison in Friday football action. The Eagles racked up 354 yards, including 183 rushing yards. 

Wall’s Burk Blasius completed 9 of 9 passes for 171 yards and threw four passing touchdowns. Cedar Amiotte rushed for 155 yards on seven carries and scored three touchdowns. Blasius added a rushing touchdown. Rylan McDonnell, Stran Williams, Brodi Sundall and Thane Simons each had receiving touchdowns. Mason Heath had four tackles, while Amiotte and Sundall had interceptions.

Harding County/Bison’s Kelby Hett threw for 87 yards, while Rylee Veal rushed for 64 yards on 14 carries. Braden Routier added 32 rushing yards. Gage Gilbert recorded 52 receiving yards. Grey Gilbert had 3.5 tackles. 

 

Howard 48, Viborg-Hurley 12

VIBORG — Class 9AA No. 1 Howard rushed for 397 yards and picked up a Friday high school football win over Viborg-Hurley.

Griffin Clubb rushed for 151 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns, while he hauled in 38 receiving yards and a touchdown reception. Karsyn Feldhaus added 119 rushing yards on 28 carries. Will Maier rushed for 39 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Koepsell added a touchdown reception. Taiden Hoyer and Feldhaus each threw passing touchdowns. Hoyer had 4.5 tackles on defense. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Luke Campbell rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. Chance Schollerman threw for 17 yards, while Campbell hauled in all 17 receiving yards. George Johnson rushed for 28 yards. Kaedon Maunu posted 13 tackles. 


Tea Area 57, Sturgis 7

SIOUX FALLS — Tea Area pulled away from Sturgis to earn a high school football win over Sturgis on Friday. 

Tea Area was led by Chase Van Tol who rushed for 139 while scoring three touchdowns. Van Tol also caught two passes for 74 yards. Blake Thompson rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown while Dawson Eimers garnered 50 yards while rushing for a score. 

Sturgis was led by Gunner Rohloff who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Aidan Hedderman completed nine passes for 111 yards for the Scoopers. 


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 42, Mobridge-Pollock 24

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central built a 34-6 lead en route to a Friday high school football win over Mobridge-Pollock. 

Holden Havlik led the Blackhawks with 162 passing yards and one passing touchdown. Camden Jost logged 79 rushing yards on 19 carries and three touchdowns. Brady Larson and Tyson Eddy added rushing touchdowns. Blake Larson hauled in 90 receiving yards and one touchdown reception. Toby Kneen recorded 12.5 tackles, while Michael Hoffman had an interception. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Holden Eisemann threw for 142 yards and a passing touchdown. Aiden Schoenhard rushed for 92 yards on 18 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Simon Fried and Eisemann added rushing touchdowns. Turner Pfitzer had 59 receiving yards on four receptions and hauled in a touchdown. Carter Hinsz logged nine tackles on defense. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 48, Wagner 24

WAGNER — Mount Vernon/Plankinton erupted for 40 first-half points on their way to a win over Wagner in high school football action Friday. 

Reed Rus led the way for the Titans rushing for 205 yards on eight carries and scoring three touchdowns. Drew Gerlach added 55 yards rushing while scoring two touchdowns. Brady Fox and Jonathon Jones led the defense, each totalling five tackles. 

For Wagner, Jhett Breen finished with 43 yards rushing while Chris Nelson totalled 30 yards on the ground. Quarterback Chris Nelson completed nine passes for 119 yards for the Red Raiders. 

 

Flandreau 21, Jim River 19 

MENNO — Flandreau built a 21-0 lead and hung onto defeat Jim River in Friday high school football action. 

Flandreau’s Paul Parsley posted 165 passing yards and threw two passing touchdowns. Lane Johanson added 50 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Ethan Hoffman and Kolby Peters both had touchdown catches. Ben Ballard and Peters logged six tackles. 

Jim River’s Ajay Herrboldt rushed for 114 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns. Logan Sayler rushed for 70 yards and one rushing touchdown. Stephen Johnson posted 7.5 tackles. 


Madison 21, Canton 14

MADISON —  Madison scored a pair of third quarter touchdowns and held on to earn a win over Canton in high school football action Friday. 

Bruce Galde carried the load for the Bulldogs rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown. Ben Brooks finished with 107 yards passing and a touchdown while adding 40 rushing yards. Joe Gors ran for a touchdown with Eli Barger catching a touchdown pass from Brooks. 

Canaan McCracken led Canton with 96 yards rushing and a touchdown. Josh Merkle threw for 84 yards and added a rushing touchdown for C-Hawks. 


West Central 48, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — West Central shutout Tri-Valley to earn a win Friday in high school football action. 

The Trojans were led by quarterback Justin Zirpel who completed 10 passes for 152 yards. Owen Heath was the beneficiary of the aerial attack hauling in five passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns.  Zirpel also caught a touchdown pass. Deuce Sherard and Patrick Hammand also caught touchdown passes for the Trojans. 

Tri-Valley gained 58 yards on the ground with quarterback Brody Dybvig completing three of six passes for 27 yards. 


Herreid/Selby Area 66, Northwestern 26

HERREID — Class 9B No. 1 Herreid/Selby piled up the yards and the points Friday to earn a win over Northwestern in high school football. 

Brenden Begeman had another monster night for the Wolverines racking up 277 yards rushing and scoring five touchdowns. Tray Hettick finished with 259 yards passing and three touchdown passes. Trevor Gill caught five passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Darion Barker added a touchdown reception for Herreid/Selby Area. 

Cameron Wilson returned an interception for a touchdown for Northwestern. 


Sioux Falls Christian 35, Milbank 6

MILBANK — Sioux Falls Christian scored 35 unanswered points to earn a win over Milbank Friday in high school football action. 

Tayton Snyder completed five passes for 96 yards while throwing two touchdown passes for the Chargers. Johnny Skyberg paced the rushing attack with 69 yards and a score. Brayden Witte added 58 yards and a score for the Chargers. 

Garrett Mertens led Milbank with 30 yards rushing and a touchdown pass. Barrett Schneck led Milbank with 11 tackles.


Estelline/Hendricks 63, Waverly-South Shore 18

ESTELLINE — Estelline/Hendricks used a balanced attack to earn a high school football win Friday over Waverly-South Shore.

Joseph McAninch paced the Redhawks rushing for 175 yards and a touchdown. Caden Ching added 90 yards and three touchdowns. Mattix Hausman threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns. McAninch, Braxton Saathoff, Trey Cass and Ching all caught touchdown passes for the Redhawks. 

Troy Kneeland paced the Coyotes with 142 passing yards and two touchdowns. Colton Kranz caught three passes for 65 yards and a score. Cody Thompson caught a touchdown pass and led the defense with 11 tackles.

Iroquois/Lake Preston 20, Colman-Egan 18 (2OT)

IROQUOIS — Iroquois/Lake Preston scored and added a 2-point conversion in the second overtime to earn a win over Colman-Egan in high school football action Friday night.

Jake Larson led the Sharks with 91 rushing yards and a touchdown. Hayden Shurson added 84 yards and a rushing touchdown. Quarterback Josh McMasters hit Ryne Green for a 6-yard touchdown pass in the second overtime. Jake Larson added the 2-point conversion for the win. 

Logan Boekler led Colman-Egan rushing for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Ben Zwart added 39 yards rushing while also catching two passes for 38 yards. 


Britton-Hecla 51, Langford Area 19

LANGFORD — Britton-Hecla used a punishing running attack to earn a win over Langford in high school football action Friday night. 

BoDell Davidson rushed for 208 yards while scoring four touchdowns. Tucker Mertens added 117 yards and two scores with Bryce Hawkinson rushing for 62 yards and a score. Davidson added a touchdown pass when he found Gage Storley. 

Jesse Keough finished with 197 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Keough caught five passes for 78 yards and led the Lions with ten tackles. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 55, Miller/Highmore-Harrold 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson blanked Miller/Highmore-Harrold to earn a high school football win on Friday night. 

Lucas Hueser led the Huskies with 120 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Ben Swatek, Noah McDermott, Hunter Geary and Keaton Gale all added rushing touchdowns for the Huskies. Noah McDermott tossed a pair two touchdown passes finding Jakob Scarmon and Kayden Moore for the scores. Defensively Geary intercepted two passes, Swatek another and Devon Schmitz another. 

Miller/Highmore-Harrold stats were not reported. 


Canistota 52, Deubrook Area 24

DEUBROOK — Canistota scored early and often on their way to a win over Deubrook Area in high school football action Friday. 

Tage Ortman led the Hawks rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown. Noah Kleinsasser added 74 yards and had three touchdowns. Easton Miller and Cayden Scott also added rushing touchdowns for Canistota. 

Jaxon Quail paced Deubrook Area rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Jace Vomacka had one touchdown pass to Nolan Peterson who finished the night with three catches for 80 yards. 


Freeman/Freeman Academy/Marion 44, Gayville-Volin 32

MARION — Freeman/Freeman Academy/Marion outlasted Gayville-Volin to earn a win in high school football action Friday night. 

Riley Tschetter had a monstrous night for the Phoenix throwing for 386 yards and five touchdowns. Tschetter also led his team with 73 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Maddox Kihne finished with six receptions for 173 yards while hauling in two touchdown passes. 

Cade Gunderson led Gayville-Volin with 157 yards rushing and a touchdown. Ben Rumsey had three rushing touchdowns and finished with 56 yards on the ground. Hunter Wuebben caught five passes for 87 yards and a score for Gayville-Volin. 

 

Spearfish 26, Mitchell 21

SPEARFISH — Seth Hamilton threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Caden Langenfield with 1:14 left to lift Spearfish past Mitchell in Friday high school football action. 

Brady Hartwig finished with 101 passing yards and one passing touchdown, while Hamilton threw two passing touchdowns. Hamilton added 55 rushing yards on six carries. Langenfield added 69 receiving yards, while Brayden Delahoyde and Bridger Neihaus each had receiving touchdowns. Hartwig posted 13 tackles. 

Mitchell’s Treyson Schulz logged 80 passing yards and threw a touchdown pass to Jagger Tyler. Schulz rushed for 45 yards and had a rushing score. Parker Denne rushed for 69 yards on eight carries. Tyler added a rushing touchdown. Trevon Austell posted seven tackles and Drake Jerke had an interception.
