With just one week remaining in the regular season of the All-Nations Football Conference some electrifying performances as teams battle for seeding position.

Todd County traveled to Fort Yates, North Dakota, to take on a much improved Standing Rock team. With the score knotted at 22-22 late in the fourth quarter the Falcons put together a solid drive culminating with a 3-yard touchdown run from sophomore Ty Valandra as the Falcons won 30-22.

The Falcons improved to 7-0 and will take on cross-county rival St. Francis Indian on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in their regular season finale.

The game of the week had to be Red Cloud hosting defending A Division champion Winnebago, Nebraska. Leading most of the game Red Cloud saw Winnebago close the gap to 40-34 with just over four minutes remaining. Red Cloud quarterback Adriano Rama found Josiah Cottier in the flat and after a couple of broken tackles and some good blocking downfield Cottier hit paydirt as the Crusaders held on for a 48-42 win.

Red Cloud is 6-1 on the season with their regular season finale at Crow Creek on Friday, Oct. 21.
