A year ago the Viborg-Hurley boys absolutely destroyed Howard Wood Dakota Relays Class B records in the 400 and 800-meter relays. 

The 400-meter relay time of :43.35 broke the (:44.62) run by Ellsworth, Minnesota in 2019. 

The 800-meter relay time of 1:29.68 took nearly three seconds from the old record (1:32.51) by another Viborg-Hurley team in 2019. 

Typically you see big-time records broken by hundredths of a second, sometimes tenths, so the 2021 Viborg-Hurley records could be around for a while. 

Three of the oldest Howard Wood Class B relay records come from the Armour Packers in the late 1970s. 

3,200 meter relay: 8:03.44, 1979 (Glanzer, Friedel, Bindert, D. Tiefenthaler)

1,600 meter sprint medley relay: 

1978: 3:32.84, 1978 (Glanzer, Friedel, J. Tiefenthaler, D. Tiefenthaler)

1980: 3:32.84, 1980 (DeSpiegler, Glanzer, J. Tiefenthaler, D. Tiefenthaler)

The other Class B relay record is in the 1,600 meter relay where the 2017 team from Colman-Egan (Oliver, B. Groos, K. Groos, Kriech) crossed the line in 3:29.06.
