TEA — The Sioux Falls Christian girls and boys won team titles at Tuesday’s Titan Invitational.

The Sioux Falls Christian girls scored 167.75 points, finishing ahead of Watertown (80.25) and Tea Area (72). The Sioux Falls Christian boys amassed 206.5 points, ahead of Lennox (108) and Watertown (88). 

Christian’s Josiah Adams won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.23), the 100-meter dash (:10:54) and the 300-meter hurdles (:40.19). Noah Schroder won the 200-meter dash (:23.57), the 400-meter dash (:51.87) and ran a leg on the winning 800-meter relay (1:32.91). Isaac Davelaar won the 1,600-meter run (4:36.38) and the 3,200-meter run (9:57.86). Sioux Falls Christian won the 400-meter relay, 800-meter relay, 1,600-meter relay and the 3,200-meter relay. 

For the Sioux Falls Christian girls Anna Vyn won the 200-meter dash (:27.05), the 400-meter dash (:58.10) and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay team (9:55.00). Emma Buys won the 100-meter dash (:12.63) and ran legs on the Chargers winning 400-meter relay (:50.60) and 800-meter relay team (1:47.38). Sioux Falls Christian swept the top four spots in the girls 3,200-meter run with Corinne Braun crossing the line in (12:02.27). 

Vermillion’s Taeli Barta was a double winner claiming titles in the 800-meter run (2:36.42) and 1,600-meter run (5:49.69). 


Pierre athletes shine at Bob Judson Invitational

PIERRE — A mix of AA, A and B schools competed in Tuesday’s Bob Judson Invitational. No team points were kept. 

In girls action, Pierre’s Kali Ringstmeyer won the 100-meter dash (:12.64), the 200-meter dash (:27.45) and ran a leg on the Governor’s winning 400-meter relay team (:50.94). Other Pierre winners were Ryann Barry in the long jump (15-0), Anastyn Baade in the triple jump (31-5) and Reese Terwilliger in the shot put (40-1). 

Lyman’s Skyler Volmer won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.20) and the high jump (5-2).

Potter County’s Emma Schlachter won the 800-meter run (2:30.21) and ran legs on the Battlers winning 3,200-meter relay team (10:27.30) and 1,600-meter relay team (4:31.41). 

Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis won the 1,600-meter run (5:44.73) and 3,200-meter run (13:32.73). 

For the Pierre boys, Jared Lutmer won the 1,600-meter run (4:31.61) and the 3,200-meter run (10:23.89). The Governors swept the hurdles with Greyson Schuetzle winning the 110-meter hurdles (:16.04) and Deegan Houska winning the 300-meter hurdles (:42.43). Pierre’s Jason Maciejcezak won the shot put (58.0.5) and discus (166-5).

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Jayden Munroe won the long jump (22-5) the triple jump (44-3) and ran a leg on Aberdeen Roncalli’s winning 800 meter relay team (1:37.39). 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman hosts Sioux Falls Washington and Sioux Falls Roosevelt in track triangular

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls O’Gorman hosted a track and field triangular Tuesday with Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Sioux Falls Washington in attendance. No team points were kept. 

In boys action, O’Gorman senior Jade Anstine won the 100-meter dash (:11.12), 200-meter dash (:22.49) and anchored the Knights winning 400-meter relay team (:43.66). O’Gorman’s Sam Castle won the 400-meter dash (:50.81) and anchored the winning 1,600-meter relay team (3:31.31). The Knights also picked up wins from Nate Ratzlaff in the discus (116-5), Aiden Geiver in the pole vault (9-6), Jack Thiesse in the long jump (21-4.5) and Kyle Knoechne in the triple jump (43-7.5). 

Sioux Falls Washington’s Thon Angok won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.72), 300-meter hurdles (:43.09) and finished second in the long jump (21-1). Washington’s Kael Miedema won the shot put (59-11). 

For the girls O’Gorman’s Julia Eggert won the 100-meter dash (:12.92), the 200-meter dash (:26.49) and the 400-meter dash (1:01.03). 

Sioux Falls Washington’s Nyariek Kur won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.17) the long jump (18-0.50) and the triple jump (38-11).
