Aberdeen Central leads the Class AA boys track and field championships with 46 points, just ahead of Harrisburg (39) and Rapid City Stevens (38). 

After winning the long jump Thursday, Aberdeen Central senior Sam Rohlfs won the triple jump Friday with a jump of 46-9.75. The Golden Eagles scored eight points with Josh Martin finishing 2nd in the 3,200 meter run (9:28.14). 

Rapid City Stevens junior Simeon Birnbaum won the 3,200 meter run (9:27.13) and set a meet record in winning the 800-meter run (1:51.03). 

Brandon Valley looks to be in contention Saturday as the Lynx had the fastest 800-meter relay qualifying time (1:29.12). Julian Watson broke the meet record in the 400-meter dash (:48.06) and was the top qualifier in the 200-meter dash (:22.15). Jeremiah Donahoe was the top qualifier in the 300-meter hurdles (:39.87).

After winning the discus Thursday, Sioux Falls Washington junior Kael Miedema won the shot put Friday with a heave of 59-10.5. 

Other state titles handed out Friday went to Watertown’s Owen Sparks who won the pole vault (14-6). Spearfish sophomore Braden Delahoyde won the AA high jump with a leap of 6-7.
