BRITTON — The Aberdeen Roncalli boys and Northwestern girls won team titles at Thursday’s Region 2B meet in Britton.

The Aberdeen Roncalli boys racked up 143 points to edge Warner (143.5) and Northwestern (136.5). 

Warner’s Logan Permann was a double region winner with wins in the 100-meter dash (:11.49) the 200-meter dash (:23.40). The Monarchs had region titles from Peyton Jung in the 400-meter dash (:52.98) and Dillon Browning in the 3,200 meter run (10:50.92). Warner sophomore Hunter Cramer won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.81) and the 300-meter hurdles (:44.15). 

Leola/Frederick picked up region titles with Colton Spitzer winning the shot put (44-2) and freshman Dustin Wurtz winning the discus (137-4). 

Aberdeen Christian’s Abe Kretchman won the long jump (19-2) and the triple jump (40-5.75). 

The Northwestern girls scored 143 points to slip past Warner (137) and Aberdeen Roncalli (124). 

Senior Jessica Boekelheide was a triple winner claiming the 100-meter dash (:12.70) the 200-meter dash (:26.21) and the 400-meter dash (1:03.70). Ella Boekelheide won the 1,600 meter run (5:23.07) and the 3,200 meter run (12:00.96). 

Warner’s Lauren Marcuson won the 100-meter hurdles (:18.73) and the long jump (14-9.25). Ava Nillson won the 300-meter hurdles (:52.81) with teammate Jordyn Jensen winning the pole vault (9-1).
