Belle Fourche sweeps team titles at Northern Hills Invitational

BELLE FOURCHE — Belle Fourche swept team titles at Monday’s Northern Hills Invitational. 

The Belle Fourche boys racked up 194.2 points, while the girls recorded 149.25 points. 

Belle Fourche’s Sawyer Clarkson was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (4:30.10) and 3,200-meter run (10:29.65). Teammate Lane Krautschun won the 400-meter dash (:56.05) and placed second in the 1,600-meter run (4:35.16). 

Belle Fourche’s Gunnar Geib won the shot put (44-7.50) and placed second in the discus (137-6). 

Timber Lake’s Gavin Farlee won the 200-meter dash (:24.46), placed second in the 400-meter dash (:56.23) and fourth in the high jump (5-8). 

Belle Fourche boys also won the 400-meter relay (:46.46) and 1,600-meter relay (3:50.23). 

On the girls side, Belle Fourche’s Mataya Ward was a double winner in the triple jump (34-1.5), long jump (15-3.5) and placed second in the 100-meter dash (:13.44).  

Timber Lake’s Shay Kraft was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:13.44) and 200-meter dash (:27.59). Kraft also anchored Timber Lake’s winning 800-meter relay (1:56.21). 

St. Thomas More’s Mylee Sebbo captured first-place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles (:17.42) and 300-meter hurdles (:50.31). 

Rapid City Christian’s Kayla Dilka was a double winner in the discus (118-7) and shot put (37-10). 

The Belle Fourche girls won the 1,600-meter relay (4:37.15), 3,200-meter relay (11:00.23) and sprint medley relay (4:52.12).
