It isn’t often that you find sprinters capable of running a great 100 meter dash and then the fastest 800 meter run in South Dakota .

Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s junior Berkeley Engelland has the fastest 800 meter run in South Dakota (2:10.78), the fastest 400 meter dash (:58.07) in Class A and the second fastest Class A times in the 200 meter dash (:26.13) and 100 meter dash (:12.34). 

Teammate Reagan Rus has top marks in the 110 meter hurdles (:15.59) and 300 meter hurdles (:46.93). 

Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker has top marks in the 1,600 meter run (5:06.24) and 3,200 meter run (10:59.34). 

While some teams have been racking up top times in the individual events Sioux Falls Christian has been dominating Class A relay action. The Chargers have the top time in the 400 meter relay (:50.37), 800 meter relay (1:47.38), 1,600 meter relay (4:06.08), 3,200 meter relay team  (9:55.00) and the medley relay (4:16.5). 

Hamlin’s Gracelyn Leiseth leads all classes in the shot put (49-2) and discus (171-8).
