Colman-Egan girls, Lennox boys win Elk Point-Jefferson team titles

ELK POINT — The Colman-Egan girls and Lennox boys claimed team titles at Tuesday’s Elk Point-Jefferson Invitational.

Colman-Egan finished with 110 points, finishing ahead of Dakota Valley (96) and Centerville (90). Lennox recorded 159 points, placing ahead of West Sioux Hawarden, Iowa (100) and Vermillion (80).

Colman-Egan’s Daniela Lee recorded first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (:13.10), 200-meter dash (:27.81). Colman-Egan also captured first place in the 400 (:52.83), 800 (1:51.44) and 1,600-meter (4:19.67) relays. 

On the boys side, Elk Point-Jefferson’s Joe Cross was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (4:36.26) and 3,200-meter run (9:45.20). 

Lennox’s Layne Kuper claimed the 110-meter hurdles (:16.32) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.29).

Lennox’s Cody Peterson was a double winner in the discus throw (131-7) and shot put (43-9).
