Ipswich sweeps team titles at Eureka Lions track and field meet

EUREKA — The Ipswich track and field teams claimed team titles at Tuesday’s Eureka Lions Meets. 

The Ipswich boys recorded 202.5 points, finishing ahead of Timber Lake (91) and Aberdeen Central (85). The Ipswich girls racked up 175 points, finishing ahead of Timber Lake (107) and Potter County (92). 

On the boys side, Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz was a triple winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.50), 200-meter dash (:23.37) and long jump (20-8.25). 

Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter won the 1,600-meter run (4:46.53) and 3,200-meter run (10:26.46). 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Brayden Goehring won the 110-meter hurdles (:17.19) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:46.77). 

Timber Lake’s Gracen Hansen won the 300-meter hurdles (:42.75) and placed second in the triple jump (39-8). 

Ipswich boys won the 400-meter relay (:44.75) and 1,600-meter relay (3:41.66). 

On the girls side, Ipswich’s Gracie Lange won the high jump (5-0), long jump (14-8) and finished second in the triple jump (30-4.25). 

Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller won the 100-meter hurdles (:17.78) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:50.76). 

Aberdeen Christian’s Shawnteah La Croix was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:12.62) and 200-meter dash (:26.61). 

Timber Lake’s Shay Kraft won the 400-meter dash (1:03.73) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (:27.05). 

The Potter County girls won the 1,600-meter relay (4:20.38) and 3,200-meter relay (4:20.38).
