The Milbank Bulldogs lead the Class A track and field competition with 38 points, just ahead of Sioux Falls Christian (31) and Custer (23). 

Senior Bennett Schwenn won a third consecutive state title in the triple jump (45-11.75). Nick Batchelor finished 2nd in the 3,200 meter run (9:43.15) and 2nd in the 800-meter run (1:56.79). The Bulldogs also scored points with a 5th place finish from Ryker Trevett in the shot put (48-5).

Sioux Falls Christian’s Isaac Davelaar won the 800-meter run (1:55.88). The Chargers had the fastest qualifying time in the 800-meter relay (1:30.86) while Josiah Adams was your top qualifier in the 300-meter hurdles (:40.73). 

Belle Fourche junior Sawyer Clarkson started the day breaking the meet record in the 3,200 meter run (9:24.35). Tri-Valley’s Connor Christensen won the shot put (53.11.25), edging Jaden Witte of Sioux Falls Christian (52-5). 

Rapid City Christian’s Chase Maher won the pole vault (14-6), just ahead of Drew Reetz of Webster who vaulted 14-0. 

Tri-Valley’s Michael Beyer was the top qualifier in the 110-meter hurdles (:15.21).

 Custer’s Blake Boyster had the fastest qualifying times in the 200-meter dash (:22.46) and 400-meter dash (:50.51). Milbank had the top qualifying time in the 1,600 meter relay (3:26.77).
