Miller Rustlers sweep team titles at Miller Invitational

MILLER — The Miller boys and girls track teams each won titles at Tuesday’s Miller Invitational. 

The Miller girls racked up 117.5 points, ahead of Wolsey-Wessington (78) and James Valley Christian (72). The Miller boys scored 136.5 points, ahead of Wolsey-Wessington (82) and Frederick Area (75).

Miller’s Ally Mullaney won the high jump (5-3) and ran legs on the Rustlers winning 400-meter relay (:51.94), 800-meter relay (1:52.56) 

Redfield’s Camryn Rohlfs won the 100-meter dash (:13.17), 200-meter dash (:27.50), 400-meter dash (1:02.79) and long jump (15-9). 

Sully Buttes had a pair of double-winners as Stevie Wittler won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.17) and 300-meter hurdles (48.89) while Lydia Hill won the shot put (36-1) and discus (117-4). 

Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide won the 1,600 meter run (5:27.36) and ran legs on the winning medley relay (4:29.19) and 3,200 meter relay (10:25.98). 

The Miller boys picked up wins from Alex Schumacher in the 1,600-meter run (4:31.75), Pierce Baumberger in the 3,200-meter run (10:17.72) and Isaak Hunter in the 300-meter hurdles (:44.53).

Wolsey-Wessington’s Joey Hoverson won the 100-meter dash (:11.62) and ran legs on the winning 1,600 meter relay (3:34.43) and medley relay (3:45.16). Moshe Richmond won the high-jump and ran legs on the winning 1,600 meter relay, medley relay and 3,200 meter relay (8:47.30)

Faulkton Area’s Daniel Stoll won the 200-meter dash (:22.11) and ran legs on the winning 400-meter relay (:46.08) and 800-meter relay (1:34.43).
