Mobridge-Pollock sweeps team titles at Region 6A meet

WINNER — Mobridge-Pollock took home both the girls and boys titles at the Region 6A track and field meet on Thursday.

The Mobridge-Pollock boys scored a total of 203 points, just ahead of Winner (186) and Chamberlain (104). The Tiger girls recorded a score of 225, followed by Winner (145) and Chamberlain (136).

On the boys side, double winners included Mobridge-Pollock’s Brady Bauer in the 100-meter dash (:11.0) and 200-meter dash (:24.2), Winner’s Kade Watson in the 800-meter run (2:05.9) and 1,600-meter run (4:37.2), Winner’s Aaron Monk in the 110-meter hurdles (:14.9) and 300-meter hurdles (:42.3), and Stanley County’s Cormac Duffy in the long jump (20-3.75) and triple jump (40-2.25).

Mobridge-Pollock also captured wins in the 800-meter relay (1:39.2), 1,600-meter relay (3:48.4), 3,200-meter relay (8:54.4), sprint medley relay (4:00.1), and the high jump (Turner Pfitzer). 

Winner also won the 400-meter relay (:46.2) and the shot put (Shawn Hammerbeck).

On the girls side, Mobridge-Pollock picked up individual wins from Ryli Thompson in the 100-meter dash (:12.6), Jacy Netterville in the 400-meter run (1:03.2), Charley Henderson in the 800-meter run (2:44.0), Heidi Olson in the 1,600-meter run (5:31.5), and Grace Overland in the 300-meter hurdles (:55.1). The Tigers also won the 3,200-meter relay (10:24.1) and sprint medley relay (4:36.3). Winner’s Keelie Kuil won the 200-meter dash (:29.8), while Jenaya Schrader won the shot put (33-9.5), Kelsey Sachtjen won the high jump (4-10), Jenna Hammerbeck won the long jump (16-2.75), and Ellie Brozik won the triple jump (35-2.75). The Warriors also claimed wins in the 400-meter relay (:52.4), 800-meter relay (1:50.0), and 1,600-meter relay (4:23.2). Chamberlain picked up wins from Kinsey Evans in the 3,200-meter run (12:20.1) and Leigha Long in the 100-meter hurdles (:17.5).
