The Sioux Falls O’Gorman girls racked up 119.5 points to hold off Brandon Valley (106) and Sioux Falls Lincoln (93) for the Class AA track and field team title. Rapid City Stevens (77) and Sioux Falls Roosevelt (56.5) rounded out the top five. 

Alea Hardie and Libby Castelli were the top two finishers in the 1,600 meter run with Hardie setting a new meet record (4:45.33). Audrey Meyer won the 300-meter hurdles (:46.06) and the Knights earned a 3rd place finish in the sprint medley relay. 

Brandon Valley closed strong on Saturday with a state title from Jayaunna Stroh in the high jump (5-5). The 800-meter relay team and 1,600 meter relay teams both claimed state titles for the Lynx.

Rapid City Stevens’ Baylee Van Zee won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.42). Isabel Peterson of Sioux Falls Roosevelt won gold in the 100-meter dash (:12.27) and the 200-meter dash (:25.59) and also ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay (:48.96). 

Yankton’s Shae Rumsey won the 400-meter dash (:56.30) while Sioux Falls Lincoln won the sprint medley relay (4:10.69). 

Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Avery Wittry was the AA girls field event MVP. Alea Hardie won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs and was the AA MVP.
