Sioux Falls Christian repeats as Class A track and field champions

Sioux Falls Christian racked up 125 points to easily turn back strong efforts from Milbank (66) and Custer (59). Belle Fourche (47) and Lennox (41) rounded out the top five. 

Isaac Davelaar outdueled Belle Fourche junior Sawyer Clarkson to win the 1,600 meter run in a meet record time of 4:17.17.  Josiah Adams won the 300-meter hurdles (:40.06) and added third place efforts in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 110-meter hurdles.

Sioux Falls Christian looked strong in the relays, winning the 400-meter relay (:43.51) the 800-meter relay (1:30.2) and the sprint medley relay (3:38.74). 

Milbank used a 1,600 meter relay championship (3:26.08) and a 2nd place finish in the long jump from Bennett Schwenn (20-8.75) and a 3rd place effort in the 1,600 meter run (4:23.90) from Nick Batchelor to hold off Custer. 

Custer’s Blake Boyster was named the Class A MVP after winning the 100-meter dash (:11.04) the 200-meter dash (:22.51) and repeating as 400-meter champion with a time of (:49.44). 

Winner’s Aaron Monk pulled off a mild upset, winning the 110-meter hurdles (:15.08).

Belle Fourche senior Aiden Giffen won the long jump (21-10.25) and finished 2nd in the 100-meter dash (:11.11) to help lead the Broncs to a 4th place team finish. 

Bennett Schwenn, who won the triple jump earlier was named your Class A Field Events MVP.
