LENNOX — The Sioux Falls Christian track and field teams recorded Region 3A titles on Thursday.

The Charger boys finished with 271 points, followed by West Central (118) and Tri-Valley (101). The Sioux Falls Christian girls recorded 229 points, finishing ahead of West Central (147). 

On the boys side, Sioux Falls Christian’s Carter VanDonge (100-meter dash), Josiah Adams (300-meter hurdles), Derrek VanderLeest (1,600-meter run), Patrick Vogel (3,200-meter run), Logan Schipper (high jump), Kennan Voss (long jump) and Jaden Witte (shot put) captured first-place finishes. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Isaiah Young, Noah Schroder, Carter VanDonge and Eli Gillett broke the meet record in the 800-meter relay (1:30.46). The Chargers also won the 400-meter relay, 800-meter relay and sprint medley relay. 

On the girls side, Sioux Falls Christian’s Emma Buys (100-meter dash) and Savaeh Sichmeller (400-meter dash) and Ellie Maddox (3,200-meter run) captured first-place finishes. 

The Chargers also won the 1,600-meter relay, 3,200-meter relay and sprint medley relay. 

McCook Central/Montrose’s Aubyn Schmidt was a double winner in the discus (123-6) and shot put (37-2).
