ELK POINT — The Sioux Falls Christian track teams swept the team titles at the DAK-XII Conference track meet in Elk Point on Monday.

On the boys side, Sioux Falls Christian finished with 225 points, ahead of Lennox (90.5) and West Central (79.5).

Sioux Falls Christian won a total of 13 events, including Eli Gillett in the 400-meter dash (:52.47), Bennett Wassenaar in the 800-meter run (2:02.80), Isaac Davelaar in the 1,600-meter run (4:25.08), Kennan Voss in the triple jump (41-2.75), and Paul Hoekman in the shot put (48-9.5).

The Chargers also captured all five relays, which include the 400-meter relay (:43.96), 800-meter relay (1:30.64), 1,600-meter relay (3:32.73), 3,200-meter relay (8:14.99), and sprint medley relay (3:46.66).

SFC’s Josiah Adams was a triple winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.24), 200-meter dash (:22.58), and 300-meter hurdles (:41.04).

Host Elk Point-Jefferson won two events, with Joe Cross winning the 3,200-meter run (9:59.96) and Benjamin Swatek winning the javelin event (148-07).

On the girls side, Sioux Falls Christian scored 168 points, followed by Dakota Valley (115) and West Central (106).

Sioux Falls Christian won seven events, including Anna Vyn in the 400-meter dash (:58.55), Ellie Maddox in the 800-meter (2:19.30) and 1,600-meter run (5:06.27), and Corinne Braun in the 3,200-meter run (12:08.38).

The Chargers also won three relays, including the 1,600-meter relay (4:10.00), 3,200-meter relay (9:43.78), and sprint medley relay (4:24.82).

Dakota Valley’s Silja Gunderson won four events, including the 100-meter dash (:12.89), 200-meter dash (:26.19), 100-meter hurdles (:15.89), and 300-hurdles (:48.25). Rylee Rosenquist won the shot put (38-4.5) and Sophia Atchison won the pole vault (10-6).

West Central’s Lily Sidel won the long jump (16-5.5) and Molli Thornton won the triple jump (34-2.75). The Trojans also captured the 400-meter relay (:50.36) and 800-meter relay (1:45.72).
