Sioux Valley sweeps Lake Central Conference track and field titles

HAYTI — Sioux Valley swept team titles at Tuesday’s Lake Central Conference track and field meet. 

The Sioux Valley boys finished with 190 points, finishing ahead of Deuel (119.5) and De Smet (99). The Cossack girls recorded 164.33 points, followed by Hamlin (103) and Clark/Willow Lake (100). 

On the boys side, Sioux Valley’s Donovan Rose won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.71) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.29). 

Hamlin’s Zac VanMeeteren was a double winner in the 200-meter dash (:23.39) and 400-meter dash (:52.65). 

Deuel’s Ricky Berndt won the 800-meter run (1:59.81) and 3,200-meter run (11:46.08). 

De Smet’s Damon Wilkinson won the shot put (45-2) and discus (137-4). 

Deuel’s Gabe Sather won the pole vault (11-7), while he placed second in the 110-meter hurdles (:16.11) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.48). 

On the girls side, Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker won the 800-meter run (2:25.92) and 1,600-meter run (5:18.51). 

Sioux Valley’s Adison Renkly won the triple jump (31-9) and 100-meter hurdles (:15.41). 

Sioux Valley’s Landree Wilson won the 100-meter dash (:12.37) and long jump (16-8.5). 

Castlewood’s Mackenzie Everson was a double winner in the 200-meter dash (:27.17) and 400-meter dash (1:00.81). She placed second in the 100-meter dash (:12.72). 

Hamlin’s Gracelyn Leiseth won the shot put (47-10) and discus (157-2).
