Todd County sweeps titles at Region 7A track and field meet

MISSION — The Todd County boys and girls track teams each won team titles at the Region 7A track and field meet on Thursday in Mission.

The Todd County boys posted a score of 217.5, ahead of Bennett County (119.5) and Little Wound (78).

Todd County’s Thaddeus Allen was a triple winner, claiming the 800-meter run (2:12.60), 1,600-meter run (5:13.41), and triple jump (36-04.75). The Falcons’ Bryce Redfish won the shot put (40-05), while Richard Brill won the long jump (18-06.50). Todd County also won the 800-meter relay (1:46.40) and 1,600-meter relay (4:08.57).

Bennett County’s Tyce Gropper was a double winner in the 3,200-meter run (10:48.64) and 300-meter hurdles (:45.83), while the Warriors’ Rush O’Neill won the 110-meter hurdles (:18.55). Bennett County also claimed the 3,200-meter relay (9:43.64).

Little Wound’s Kenyon LeBeaux was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.41) and 200-meter dash (:24.68). LeBeaux was also a part of the Mustangs win in the sprint medley relay (4:29.73).

The Todd County girls finished with a score of 174, followed by Bennett County (128) and Red Cloud (83).

Todd County’s Julise Shaw was a double winner in the 200-meter dash (:27.18) and long jump (15-10.50), while Madison Lamoureaux won the 100-meter hurdles (:23.54) and Brooke Marshall won the triple jump (37-10.50). The Falcons also claimed the 400-meter relay (:55.59), 800-meter relay (2:04.55), 3,200-meter relay (12:28.32), and sprint medley relay (5:38.00).

Bennett County’s Baily May was a double winner in the shot put (32-01.50) and discus (87-02.50). Eden Fanning claimed the title in the 100-meter dash (:12.96), while Tegyn Kolb won the 400-meter dash (1:12.72). The Warriors’ Rosa Ainslie won the 1,600-meter run (6:25.16).

Red Cloud won the 800-meter run (Jade Ecoffey), 3,200 meter run (Rarity Cournoyer), 300-meter hurdles (Ashlan Blount), and 1,600-meter relay (4:33.24).
